New laws for the new year

ADVOCACY

New Laws Affecting Real Estate in the New Year

Among the new state laws taking effect Jan. 1 are bills REALTORS® advocated for including local government consolidation measures to ease the property tax burden as well as an expansion of the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Act to include new construction. Also, the Illinois historic preservation tax credit program will expand statewide.
