Our bill could help first-time and second-chance homebuyers

State Sen. Cristina Castro D-Elgin, Senior Director of State Government Affairs Jimmy Clayton and past Illinois REALTORS® President Michael D. Oldenettel discussed the benefits of Senate Bill 148 during a press conference last week in Springfield. If passed, the bill would would give tax deductions to first-time and second-chance homebuyers who save to purchase a future home.

 

Course can help managing brokers get CE by April 30 deadline

Managing brokers: To help you complete continuing education requirements before you renew your license, sign up for the Illinois REALTORS® virtual course with instructor Lynn Madison. Brokers, your renewals will be next year!

 

Encourage your college-bound students to apply for these 2025-26 REEF scholarships by April 1

Applications and related documents are due April 1 for six kinds of scholarships offered through the Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF) for the 2025-26 school year. If you have a child or grandchild who is eligible, please encourage them to apply NOW.
