REALTORS® Showed Their Influence in November Elections

Fourteen candidates won their races and five Home Rule Initiatives were defeated on Nov. 6 in part because of support by Illinois REALTORS®. Winning candidates included three state senators, eight state representatives and three county board members/commissioners. Home Rule was stopped in  Lemont, Prospect Heights, Beach Park, Winthrop Harbor and Zion. See comprehensive election results here.

Wheeler Encourages Fellow REALTORS® to Apply to 2019 Leadership Development Program  

O'Fallon-area REALTOR® Celeste Wheeler says the Illinois REALTORS® 2018 Leadership Development Program gave her tools and resources to become a more effective leader. She encourages other members to apply before the Nov. 27 deadline

'REALTORS® Give Back' Focuses on Local Associations and Members

During the last two months of the year, REALTORS® help give back to their communities in many charitable ways, whether they organize or participate in food drives, clothing drives or fundraising activities. Local associations can share their stories by emailing photos and summaries of their efforts to bkozar@illinoisrealtors.org. Please provide full names of members in your photos!

About the Flags -- and the Lights -- on Bicentennial Plaza

Hamilton Chicago's Miguel Cervantes Will Be There Dec. 3. Will You?

Miguel Cervantes, who plays the title role in the Chicago production of Hamilton, will perform an original Gettysburg Address Rap, "All People are Created Equal," at the Illinois 2-0-0 Birthday Party, Dec. 3. The party will be a star-studded celebration of Illinois talent and history, featuring musical performances by Styx, REO Speedwagon and Buddy Guy & Friends, as well as a tribute to military veterans hosted by Joe Mantegna and a parade of Illinois sports champions hosted by Jackie Joyner-Kersee.
